Terry recalls that trip to the bike store with his Mom when he was 19 years old to buy his first real bike. He said, “it changed my life; I owe her for that.” He now favors Specialized bikes and enjoys riding his. He said, “Anywhere around the Canon City area with Dean Sandoval is good.” The top racing honors that Terry is most proud of: “Most memorable is '07 finish at Mt. Evans with finally a respectable time and 3rd place finish,” plus the teamwork he offered to teammate Joe Paulson at crits in the 2007 season. When Terry was asked which superhero he would like to be for a week if he could, his answer was Italian sprinter Mario Cipollini. If Terry were not spending his time focused on racing he said he would be, “making some money, yoga, and rock climbing.” Terry enjoys a 12 oz. Vanilla Latte from Vic’s Espresso and also enjoys reading, taking naps, the ocean, wine, pasta, music, and nature. He said he some day aspires to ride only a single-speed bicycle.
